All the distorted images that appear in the “Consonant” series come from our elementary to junior high school archives and documents. It spans from our school graduation certificate, annual report, textbooks, and uniform. All these materials are
an instrument to measure and cast a person in every level of education. “Consonant” series is an attempt to question all the values and thought that is brought up by these official materials which is a state vision on what an individual should behave and think in order to live in society.

About the Artist

Engaging with the notion of hyperreality in the digital age, Tromarama explores the interrelationship between the virtual and the physical world.
