Faye Pamintuan

Faye Pamintuan (b. 1994) was born in the Philippines and spent her formidable years in Texas, USA. Spending much of her life traveling between the two countries, Pamintuan’s practice is informed by her early introduction to Western abstraction while observing the landscapes, bodies of water, and environments of the two regions. Her works are inquiries that respond to the dilemma of the diaspora: probing into the sense of self through illustrated spaces, forms, and imagined terrains.

Pamintuan received her BFA in Painting (magna cum laude) from the University of the Philippines, Diliman.
