Tropical Futures Institute
Philippines
Tropical Futures Institute was founded in 2015 as an experiment in contemporary culture and is currently located in Cebu, Philippines.
We work in tangent with 856G, an open format cultural space that assists us with developing a dynamic program in conjunction with their own. We produce everything between art exhibitions, residencies, zinefests, loud parties, community shows, workshops, and talks. Blending as much as we can across different disciplines and communities to create a diverse cultural programming.
We work with collaborators in New York, Cebu, Bacolod, Manila, Bali, and Singapore.
All garments and object production goes towards spreading the brand of the institute as well as funding our operational expenses.
Tropical Futures Institute will be presenting new and recent works by Kristoffer Ardeña.
